Are We a Good Fit?

TOPIC PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY
Vaccines Our policy is that we follow the CDC and American Academy of Pediatrics.
We fully believe in the vaccine schedule and its inherent ability to protect our children and community.
Antibiotics We work hard to not overuse antibiotics and carefully assess our patients for the need for antibiotics.
We educate and follow evidence-based guidelines and in doing so do not recommend routine dispensing of antibiotics without seeing our patients.
Medical home We want to provide full medical care for your child and thus want to be contacted first to help facilitate specialty care or determine if your child needs urgent attention, an office visit, or supportive care at home.
Specialist care As your medical home, we expect you to contact our office before scheduling a specialist appointment.
We want to be involved in coordinating your child’s care and ensure that your child is sent to the most appropriate specialist.
Please remember to ask for a report from the specialist after your visit.
Technology We know you are busy, so we strive to have our office run efficiently for our patients.
We will expect you to be comfortable with utilizing our patient portal to stay up-to-date with your child's medical care.
Appointments We do not offer walk-in appointments.
Please contact our office to schedule your child’s appointment.
When speaking with the scheduler, let them know of your specific concerns to allow for the appropriate amount of time for your child's appointment.
We do have our schedule open for well visits up to 3 months in advance.
Office hours We make every effort to meet the needs of all our patients, this includes our availability throughout the week and scheduled office hours on the weekend for sick visits.
Please review our office hours and see if they work for your family.
We always have a physician on call after hours.
Timeliness We believe everyone’s time is valuable and want to give all of our patients the time they deserve thus we expect for you to be on time for your appointments so we can efficiently see all of our scheduled patients.
Please contact our office if you are running late for your scheduled appointment.
We do reserve the right to ask you to reschedule if you have missed your appointment time as this would cut into another families scheduled appointment.
Our goal will always be providing quality time and care with each office visit.
After hours We have a physician on call every day 24h a day.
We encourage you to contact our physician on call after hours before heading to the emergency room unless it is a true emergency and thus you should call 911.
Insurance Please make sure that we have your most updated insurance.
You may always contact our office or check with your specific insurance provider regarding your coverage.
Billing and fees We expect our families to be knowledgeable of their specific insurance coverage including deductibles and co-insurance.
Our fees including no show fees and form fees are listed in our policies.

If you feel like we are a good fit after reading the above information, then please contact us to schedule your child's first appointment. We look forward to caring for your child!
